Film & Humor: eine Scherzensangelegenheit

Lecture by Olivier Samter

Language: German • 60min

12.03.2026, 18:30 Theater praesent free entry

What is funny in movies? What isn’t? And what is it actually okay to laugh at? There are no easy answers to these and many other pressing questions about contemporary humor. Swiss film journalist and comic artist Olivier Samter has them nonetheless.

In a humorous keynote speech, this lover of charming nonsense explains where really good movie jokes come from, accurately analyzes Austrian cinema (please forgive him for this), and explores the liminal spaces between comics and film, Zurich and Innsbruck, funny and not funny.

If you don’t laugh here… you just have a different sense of humor.

After the lecture (60 min), we will move to the Leokino for the fantastic Udo Kier special!
