Eine aus dem Leben gegriffene Geschichte wird zum Ausgangspunkt für eine filmische Reflexion, die vom Privaten ins Politische führt. Anstelle des gewünschten Synthesizers bekommt die Ich-Erzählerin eine Küchenmaschine zum Geschenk. Ratlos macht sich diese auf die Suche nach den möglichen Gründen dafür. Denn die Verwechslung wirft Fragen auf: Welche Identitäten und Genderkonstruktionen sind den Geräten eingeschrieben? In welcher Beziehung stehen Mensch und Maschine, Körper und Apparatur, das häusliche und das künstlerische Feld? In welchen Zusammenhang lassen sich zwei so unterschiedliche Instrumente bringen und welche Rolle spielt die Militär-Technologie dabei? (Shilla Strelka)
Adina Felicitas Camhy (Graz/Vienna) works and experiments at the interfaces of various forms of media expression, from music, sound and video, text, performance, spatial intervention to drawing and printed work. Based on precise observations of the existing and in narrative approaches, she addresses topics such as the politics of memory, representation, and the political in the public and private spheres. She is interested in the connections between social processes and constructed spaces. She works alone, in cooperations and collective.
